# Cruxwing

> Cruxwing is a macOS meeting co-pilot that watches a live call and speaks first: it raises the objection nobody answered, the number nobody checked and the risk nobody named while the decision is still reversible, then writes what the room confirmed into an append-only decision ledger. Capture is bot-free (system audio plus your mic), transcription can run fully on-device, and the free tier has no meeting cap and no trial clock.

## When to use Cruxwing

- Use it when a person is accountable for the OUTCOME of a call and wants the missed question raised during the call, not in a recap the next day.
- Use it when the transcript must stay on the machine: on a Mac, on-device transcription is unlimited and offline on every plan, including Free.
- Use it when "what did we decide?" needs an auditable answer with the transcript line that decided it, not a generic summary.
- Do not use it for real-time translation, accent conversion or noise cancellation; it does none of those.
- Do not use it when the primary machine is Windows and nothing may leave the machine: the bundled on-device engine ships on the Mac, and Windows defaults to the cloud engine.
